Our Doctors!

Dr. Theresa Bismack has been here since July 1993. She graduated from Michigan State University with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1979. Dr. Bismack has numerous pets including Durango, an American Paint horse, and three cats named Stranger, Tommie, and Isabella. In her spare time Dr. Bismack enjoys horseback riding and camping. Her son Brian is a radiation medical physicist and recently married a lovely young lady who is a school teacher. Brian and Amber have one daughter, Cora, that has become the apple of Dr. Bismack's eye. Dr. Bismack's favorite part about working at Berkley Animal Clinic is being able to provide excellent patient care!

Dr. Sharon Friedman has been here since February 2001. She graduated from Michigan State University with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1995. Dr. Friedman has a lab/shepherd mix named Stitch and a beagle named Lilo. She also has three cats named Tux, Harvey Dent, and Colby Jack. Dr. Friedman enjoys cross stitching, crocheting, and reading. Dr. Friedman's husband, Kenny, travels and sells science fiction collectables. She also has two sons that are active in scouts. Dr. Friedman's favorite part about working at Berkley Animal Clinic is that we have long term clients, so it's nice to see the same people and watch their pets grow!

Our other Veterinarians that work at Berkley Animal Clinic are Dr. Andrea Smirnes, Dr. Andrea Golombek, Dr. Lindsay Pick and Dr. Sean Hughes.

Our Office Manager!

Julie has been part of the team since February 1997. Julie has one dog named Kimbo, who is a Staffordshire Terrier. In Julie's spare time she enjoys fixing up her house, working out, and playing with her son. Her favorite part about working at Berkley Animal Clinic is being part of a team that truly cares about each and every patient.

Our Veterinary Assistants/Technicians!

Denise has been here since May 1997. She has one dog named Dasher, who is a Cavalier King Charles. Outside of work Denise enjoys camping, bike riding, spending time with her son, snowmobiling, and going up north. Her favorite part about working at Berkley Animal Clinic is the family atmosphere!

Stacy has been here since April 1998. In her spare time she enjoys going up north, working on her house, and spending time with her husband and son. Stacy's favorite part about working at Berkley Animal Clinic is the clients, staff, and pets. She also likes being challenged every day, and being an important player on the team! This picture is of Stacy and her angel baby Piper.

Jessica has been here since September 1997 and is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She graduated in 2004 from the Veterinary Technician Program at Macomb Community College. Jessica has a dog named Gibbs, two cats named Simon and Garfunkel, and a turtle named Eloise at home. In her spare time Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters and going up north. Her favorite part about working at Berkley Animal Clinic is being utilized and being able to use her skills. She also likes working with people that she trusts and respects!

Collene has been here since July 2010. At the time of hire she already had 10 years of veterinary assistant experience. Collene has two cats at home; C.C. and Sinatra. Sinatra is middle aged, and is as cool and laid back as his name. C.C. was inherited from a close friend, and with time and encouragement from Collene, has turned out to be a great little girl. Collene also has a Pit Bull Mix named Stanley who is a big teddy bear. Stanley was rescued from the streets in the summer of 2015 and has made himself a wonderful home! Collene loves going to concerts, movies, camping, playing with "her kids", shopping, and just being outdoors in nature. She has loved animals for as long as she can remember and can't imagine not being a veterinary assistant for a career! Her favorite part about working at Berkley Animal Clinic is first and foremost, the patients. She also enjoys client education and all medical aspects of her job. It's never boring! She has also made some great friends working here.

Lisa has been here since December 2012. She has many pets at home! Her cats' names are Beans, Chicken, Frank, Mclovins, Wilford, and Cinder. Her dogs' names are Mason and Luna. She also has a horse named Rajah. Lisa enjoys camping, canoeing, horseback riding, and music. She is also the President and co-founder of New Beginnings Animal Rescue. Her favorite part about working at Berkley Animal Clinic is the amazing coworkers and being able to learn new things.

Our other Veterinary Assistants and L.V.T.'s not pictured above are Krissy, Erin, Christine, Elizabeth, Catherine, Liz, Jennifer, Sheri Grace, Christel, Kevin, and Ana. We are lucky to have all of these members on our team because they truly are the voices for animals!

Our Receptionists!

Our Receptionists are Kiara, Sara, Emily, Becka, Jocelyn, Mary, and Tara. These wonderful ladies are not only our client advocates, but animal lovers as well!

Our Groomer!

Kathy has been here since January 1989. She currently has 9 dogs, which can all be viewed at wyntrcardigans.com. She enjoys dog showing, art, reading, and supporting canine health research. She is the Vice President of the Cardigan Welsh Corgi Health Foundation. As our groomer, she would like our clients to know that pets well-being means a lot to her. Grooming is a beauty treatment, so she does whatever she can to make a pet's grooming session pleasant and relaxing. Her favorite part about working at Berkley Animal Clinic is that she is able to bring her pets to work.
